  • Water Gun for deep cleaning of minerals, jewelry, fossils, cabichon work, even in the garage and home (blows stains out of fabrics, surprising!) extremely useful
  • Hydraulic specimen trimmers: for trimming mineral specimens up to 4 inches (10cm) thick. Our model features the hydraulic unit on top instead of below. This is a superior design because it prevents rock debris falling into the O-ring and causing leaks of fluid. Two models are offerred.
  • Mini specimen trimmers for smaller specimens.
  • Ultraviolet lights for fluorescence enthusiasts as well as to aid in identification, detection of artifacts, examination of stamps, jewellery (hidden repairs!) lots of uses.

Water Gun

For deep cleaning of minerals, jewelry, fossils, romoval of polishing oxides from cracks after polishing jobs...you name it.

These water-guns are as powerful as water-guns get and much less expensive from us due to volume buying. Parts are available at short notice. Adjustable head: jet or spray to suit the work you are handling. We ship worldwide: please specify voltage. Rough handling including uninterrupted use to the point of overheating, or dropping it voids the 30 day warranty. In normal use it lasts a long time.

110 volt units $120.

220 volt units $150.

We check all water guns ( including the 220V ones) to make sure they are in good condition before shipping and we return those that do not pass our tests. All of our water-guns are NEW (not refurbished)

A watergun can easily pay for itself in a half a day in terms of the improvement of mineral specimens. Consider buying a spare nozzle in case it gets clogged with some particle from the water or steel from the mechanism ...it is $25

Trimmers will last years or decades if used properly, but should not be overloaded or they will fail even when new. As a result of the possibility of this kind of misuse they carry no warranty whatsoever! (someone destroyed a new trimmer by holding a competition of who can crack the hardest rock .. . this was in a college where the department came up wiht funds!). Trimmers are designed to trim mineral specimens not cantalope-sized pieces of rock. If a stone is too large use the tile saw first. All trimmers are tested before shipping.

The very versatile 3UV- lamp from UVP having SW, LW and Midrange.

The 3 wavelengths are easily selectable by turning the switch and the midrange provides useful information regarding minerals that glow particularly well in it ( like some scheelite fluoresceng RED in it!)

The larger or 8W unit is $600 ----less expensive than if you buy it directly from UVP due to our volume purchasing.

The three wavelengths in the same unit are:

Short Wave or 254nm

Midrange or 302 nm and

Long Wave, that is 366nm.

The lamp is operated from 110 volt supply. We have found such lamps to be dependable and exremely useful.
